Obrochishte

Obrochishte village is located just 3 km from the world famous beach resort Albena and at distance of only 10 km from the town Balchik. 30 km from the village is Varna Inernational airport. Obrochishte is a significant part of the holiday property area Balchik- Albena -Obrochishte-Rogachevo- Kranevo . Situated on te main road Varna - Albena at the skirts of 2 high hills east of Batova river. Available here is a daily bus line (5 times a day) from Dobrich to Varna , with a bus stop at the centre of Obrochishte. Also, available are private shuttle buses every half hour.

The population of the village is 2000 people, most of the young people, who are mostly employed in the nearby resorts and tourist establishment.

Many Bulgarian and foreign (mostly British) people own holiday homes here, some of the living permanently.

The 3 football stadiums, which belong to Albena beach resort, are hosting a number of international tournament. Apart from the primary school, there are a secondary school as well as a sports school for young football players. Many local amenities are available here, lots of small resaturants and cafes, food and general shops (working 7 days a week).

Recently the "Beautiful Bulgaria" project invested funds in the restoration of the local Christian Orthodox Church and the Monastery.

The Municipal projects for the next 2 years include building of local waste drainage system. The village is completely supplied with water and electricity, and also with telephone lines.
